Besides the continuing Ink on the Run andShanghai International Arts Festival, this weekend has a plethora of every music genre, art exhibitions, comedy shows, record release shows, charity wine tastings, and Oktober-festivities… and of course, live music. But we putour picks for those up already.
Friday: Bill Viola, B6′s record release party, Charity Wine Tasting, Chopshticks Comedy Show, and Joachim Garraud.
Saturday: Oktoberfest at the Boxing Cat, “An Affair in the Forest,” SCAA’s Pre-Halloween munchie fest.
All ye furry creature lovers, join long time Second Chance Animal Aid supporter Lushan Framings & Interiors with a store-wide sale, all-you-can-eat dim sum, free-flow vodka cocktails by VnC and raffle draws (like a weekend stay at the Grand Hyatt). Proceeds go to SCAA.

Why a banana goes so well with vodka and lime is another great mystery, but we’ve tried and tested and tested and tried and believe us, it’s a damned fine thing
People who made it difficult to accept that God made everything on Earth in seven days without an instruction manual from IKEA, or a hammer, or anything, believes that human comes from primates. This helps explain why we love bananas so much. It was rather a lucky turns in genetics that we came down from the treetops, put on some sunglasses, and learnt how to mix bananas with vodka and limes to make the perfect Banana Daiquiri.
Why a banana goes so well with vodka and lime is another great mystery, but we’ve tried and tested and tested and tried and believe us, it’s a damned fine thing. It took us a little longer than seven days to perfect, and we had to work a bit harder than just pointing our finger at all the ingredients, but we bet God wishes he had thought of doing this with a banana.
